Jimmy’s foster family has been caring for BTRC rescue dogs for several years. While they were happy to open their home to a dog in need of a safe haven, they were a committed one-dog-only family. Their resident Boston, Henry, would make each foster dog feel secure, and help to teach them any “good dog” things they needed to learn.
Life has been busy for the family, so they hadn’t fostered in a while. But when Jimmy needed a place to stay, and help with his anxiety, they offered to take him in. Calm and balanced Henry would be a good role model for this scared little pup.
The plan, of course, was to work with Jimmy until he was ready to find a new home. But then the unexpected – and heartbreaking – happened. Henry passed away.
We believe that dogs know much more than us mere humans. Henry helped the universe guide Jimmy to exactly where he needed to be. So that Henry wouldn’t be leaving his family alone.
Congratulations on becoming an official member of your family Jimmy. We’re so happy that you’ve found your forever home… and so is Henry. ❤️
Introducing Jimmy!
There’s a new kid on the BTRC block! This adorable 4-month-old male was purchased by a kindhearted person to remove him from a bad situation. It was quickly apparent that he lacked any socialization, and life in the city was terrifying for him. After discussing his needs with a vet and trainer, his owner decided that BTRC was the best option to help Jimmy overcome his fears and find the perfect forever family.
Jimmy is settling in well in his foster home. It helps that he has a good role model – his Boston Terrier foster brother, whose calm demeanor will support Jimmy as he becomes more confident though enrichment, play and training by his human caregivers.
Jimmy will still need appropriate puppy vetting and to be neutered before he can be considered for adoption.
