Sadly, BTRC has lost another beloved alum, the beautiful Nibs. From her family:
“We have been fosters with BTRC for several years and started fostering Nibs early 2015. Her energy and personality instantly fit right in with our family. We already had a Boston terrier and had lost one about 6 months prior. We weren’t looking for another dog at the time, but she instantly stole our hearts.
Despite some incontinence issues, she was the perfect dog. Nibs loved snuggling in a lap, going for walks or the dog park, and camping (basically anywhere her people were). Although she loved her people, her favourite activity in the whole wide world was fetching her frisbee or a stick…in true Boston terrier fashion, she would go FOREVER! She had such a zest for life, and everyone loved her!!
About 6 months ago we noticed some changes in her behaviour and after several appointments and ultrasounds she was diagnosed with Cushings and heart disease. Nibs was such a trooper and never complained about any of her treatments. When medications could no longer keep her comfortable, we made the decision to let her go. Life is a lot quieter in the house without her snorts and snores and we miss her dearly. Thank you BTRC.”
Our heartfelt condolences to the Donaghey family and to all who loved Nibs. Thank you for giving her such a wonderful life. Run free and healthy at the Bridge Nibs. ❤️
